Ian David Witherspoon

As we were preparing two Thursdays ago to leave for our big Vegas/Denver trip, we got word that Aunt Christy (Ryan's older sister), was in labor with our first Niece/Nephew and Ben's first cousin.  It all started before dawn and just as we were pulling into Denver, Ian David Witherspoon was welcomed to the world on May 19th, 2011 at 6:17pm.  He weighed 9lbs 2oz. and was 21 and 3/4 inches long.

We were blessed to get to visit Ian at home on his one-week birthday.  It sounds like the happy family is settling into a routine and from one Mom to another, I have to say that motherhood certainly suits Christy.  She beams with pride when she looks at her little bundle and my heart is warmed knowing Christy and Dave have been blessed with this little miracle that will never be taken for granted.  

I am excited for Ben to have a cousin so close in age who is also a boy.  They are sure to get into lots of mischief over the years and I hope we live closer soon so the trouble can begin!
