Easter fun!!

We were blessed with a beautiful spring weekend for a beautiful day in Boulder and some Easter celebrating.

Saturday we had some Boulder errands and couldn't have picked a better day to accomplish them. Pearl st. Mall was in its first full bloom of the season. Tulips are among my favorite flowers and I probably could have stayed all day taking pics. Ben is quickly learning the fun spots on the mall and had his usual share of fun at the animals. 

Sunday we woke butter braid in the oven and goodies to be hunted.  Ryan, Tante and I were ready for some healthy basket hunting competition.  MeeMee found hers first, followed by Tante, and Ryan.  For the first time in history, I was the last one to find my basket.  My big mistake was not paying attention to the fact that the handle of my basket was able to fold down-rrrrgh!  I am already plotting my revenge!  Ryan and I discussed how next year the egg hunt might be just for Ben.  This year the bunny left Ben some special Elmo eggs but all the others were hunted by the big kids.  EB still hides a basket for MeeMee though so that will always be for all of us:).

Ben loved his "basket" that the bunny left on the deck and I'm hoping he really gets to try it out today or tomorrow with warmer temps.

egggggggggstravaganza

Nana and Grandpa joined us for a delicious ham dinner and Ben enjoyed a whole cookie after his first Hershey kiss earlier in the day.  The sweetest thing the bunny left him was some Annie's bunny grahams, but I think when the day was done he'd had more sugar than in his whole life prior combined.

Dance class seemed VERY early this morning after such a fun and busy weekend, but we now have a couple of calm days to recover.
