back to life

Last Thursday was a swift kick back to reality for Ben and me but turned out to be a wonderfully fantastic day.  My little bugger slept until after 8 and we have to leave for school at 845.  He was so excited though, when I explained the reason for our hurry, that it was no matter.  He started chanting "challah" with clear hopes they'd be making some of the delicious pure-white carb I'd been depriving him of for two weeks.
I dropped Ben off and headed home for my usual school time run and got a text that our dear friends the TS's were indeed stuck here in Denver en route home to Calgary from Nebraska.  I already had to pick MeeMee up that afternoon at the airport so it all worked out quite well other than MeeMee's plane landing VERY early and cutting our visit short.  I scooped Ben from school and headed to the TS's hotel for a short but wonderful visit.
I'm very anxious for these dear friends to live stateside again and hope they might next end up in a neighboring state ;).

Oh how I wanted to snuggle smuggle him away!

rough-housing practice for Caleb for when Tegan is bigger.

Ben really struggles to make himself at home sometimes :-/

Tegan is seriously too cute for words!

He just outweighs Ben at the same age but his adorable chunk is spread so differently-all of his is nibble-able :)

Big sis Cadyn being SO SO sweet :)

Tisha and me and our bubs (thanks to Caleb for snapping some pics!)

And finally because this one is still on my computer desktop......my, how far they've come!

*Thanks to Tisha for many of these pics!

  3. A wonderful visit, indeed! Thanks so much for rearranging your life and fitting us in. We can hardly wait to be much much closer as well. Hopefully, sooner than later. xo
