After some recent health issues, our family said good-bye to Great MeeMaw Lola Tuesday night. She passed away peacefully and quickly and we are thankful her weary body and mind are at rest. She missed her 98th birthday by one day. Ben coined the term great MeeMaw and it stuck. He adored her and was constantly inquiring about her whereabouts whenever family gathered. I know his visits delighted her and the pictures of them together are a priceless gift. We wish peace for those who miss her and the comfort of knowing she lived a very full and happy life. I know the treasure she was as a Grandma to Ryan and I only hope one of my own grandchildren might someday speak of me the way he memorializes her. Love you, Lola.
*sigh* So sorry for your guys' loss. She was clearly loved deeply + impacted many lives!
ReplyDeleteThose precious pictures of Great MeeMaw Lola and Ben were some of my favorites. What a special treasure that she had such a long life and Ben was able to know and love her dearly.
