today marked Ben's first day of his last year of preschool. We have been so blessed with a mostly great preschool experience and Ben certainly has loved nearly everything about it. The opportunity for socialization and beginning to practice how he will be expected to learn has been priceless. We're excited for the growth this year will bring and for new faces helping and teaching Ben each day.
He was typically excited for the photo sesh......

This year Ben's teacher will be Ms. Betsy and his para is Ms. Jenny. He will be working closely with Mr. Chad to gain independence in the classroom and attend to tasks for longer and longer periods. He will start with a shortened day, just attending through lunch recess. This in an hour and a half longer than last year. Right after Ben leaves, his class naps, so this will be the next step to work towards. We will extend his day throughout the year and he'll hopefully end the year attending full-days.
Mere minutes after I dropped Ben, I headed for the park and a nice, long run. Now that Ben is too big for the bob, it takes the sacrifice of getting up at 5:30 if I want to run. Sadly I haven't dedicated myself to much of that so I look forward to getting back into a routine and the feeling great that comes with it.
That last reluctant little smile. :) I love how dedicated you are to running. Keep inspiring me to get out there!
