The event was sponsored by Veuve Clicquot champagne and a local distillery and featured delicious desserts in addition to the (mostly) divine cocktails. The special viewing of the exhibit without crowds and with a guest geologist was amazing. I think my jewelry background helped me appreciate the art even more and learning about how Cartier has changed through history was incredible. Their entire target market and business strategies have changed based on world wars, and shifting global economies.
MeeMee bought us "jewel" raffle items, aka, made a donation. ;)
This piece was by far the most amazing.
I was enamored with the beauty and intricacy of this clock. This and Princess Grace's engagement ring were my favorites.
Getting dressed up and enjoying hors deours and cocktails at Molly's before we went, were the porverbial icing on the birthday cake and I can't imagine a better way to start my 35th year!
Big thanks to my mom and Molly both for making the evening so special and starting our year of dating off so well.
Talk about an event that is right up your alley! It sounds like a lovely evening with your beautiful mama and sis. I can hardly wait to see what other posh dates you girls plan. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, seriously... what?! Kearney just doesn't have any idea about anything even remotely close like this. I want to come next time!!! :D So neat seeing this - I honestly didn't know things like this existed outside of the movies?! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad that you took the time to celebrate one another!
