On Friday I got to take these Ikea virgins on their first visit and based on the bags coming home with us, I'd say the visit was a success. Chrystal hoped to stop again on the way home Sunday but some sort of stomach bug ended up curtailing that venture.
Wash Park Grille pizza was a great end to the day and Ryan even made it home in time to watch Pitch Perfect with us.
Saturday we headed south to Colorado Springs for their Junior League's Touch-a-Truck event. Ben's Aunt Christy worked hard to help put it on and the event was a great success. The boys had SO much fun running around and getting "in, in, in," as Ben says, all the big cars and trucks. The boat seemed to be a favorite and Riley liked anything with a really big wheel that he could pretend to drive. It was loud and chaotic with horns-a-blowin' but quite fun and tolerable in the hour and a half dose we got. On Saturday night I made enchiladas and Ben joined Riley in his early bedtime because he hadn't napped all day.
Sadly, Chrystal was overcome with a stomach bug overnight and felt really awful by Sunday morning. TJ came and scooped his family and I'm pretty sure there was no stop at Ikea on the way home. I did hear she felt better quickly!
It was so fun to get the boys together and will continue to be as they grow. They chased each other and giggled like crazy and always tested the naughtiness of the other to see if they too would get in trouble. It was also a handful at times and this taste of twin-dom left me shuddering at the thought.
Thanks for the visit you two!! We had a wonderful time!
Same couch...almost 2 years later!........
Riley was an amazing help with vacuuming!

Firetruck
This little boy spotted by camera and INSISTED on posing! I mean he stood in front of me following me until I took his pic. It was hilarious!

We all hoped this would be these boys' only time together in the back of a cop car!
Coming out of the SWAT vehicle
"Ranger Ben at your service."
This one had a suitable wheel for Riley
I guess this "Fun Bus" is a common thing you can have at your event, party or school. Here it was an additional fundrai$er.
Ben REALLY wanted to ride the tortoise.
Riley in a mini-race car like his Daddy's big ones.
That little boy and the time-lapse photos are killing me in very different ways. Glad you had a great time! :)
