Thankfulness

On this fine Gobble Gobble eve, I am very thankful for many things.  I'm pretty grateful most days for my life, but something has struck me this week as we attempt our first ever double Thanksgiving feast.  Many people have recently said, "oh no, really, you have to do two Thanksgivings?"
I am so very thankful and so very blessed to have many people to celebrate with and be thankful for.  I am saddened for those who have no one or nothing to be thankful for or to eat this Turkey Day.
I am also so thankful that in this time of transition for our family, we have been so welcomed by so many to stay in their homes for weeks, weekends or months.  I find myself thinking a lot these days about the movie Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith that was based on a true story.  What has always shocked me about that story is how they literally had NO ONE to turn to! How does that happen?
I am so grateful today, tomorrow and every day for all the people who love and support us.
One of mine and Ryan's most important roles as parents will be to teach Ben gratitude and thankfulness and not to take all of life's beautiful blessings for granted.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my dear followers!  May it be the start of a blessed Holiday season for you and all who you hold dear.
