Ben and I had a wonderful week in Missoula. We arrived Saturday afternoon, July 16th and headed north for Tim and Jenna's wedding the following Saturday morning. Prior to Ryan's arrival on Thursday morning we had a busy week that included going to Bonner park and playing in the same fountains I played in when I was young, going to the university, visiting several regular eating destinations, playing with the pups, getting some runs and walks in, visiting with friend Jenna and meeting her daughter Kaia and then fiance, now husband, Tim and going Out to Lunch in Caras Park.

When Ryan arrived Thursday morning, we went straight to breakfast with my friend Shana and her family. She had not met Ben and I had not met her younger daughter, Neah. Our husbands had also never met and Bridger and Ryan got along swimmingly. After spending that morning with them as well as time at the wedding, I was left wishing they lived much closer as we all had lots of fun together.
On Friday we got to help my Dad celebrate his birthday and started strolling around downtown and then headed to the Missoula Club for mo-burgers for lunch. As a child an annual gathering of my mom and step-dad's friends called The Pig Roast (not so creative a name now that I think about it) always began Friday afternoon at the Missoula Club. The burgers were as good as always, the beer was cold and the malt delicious. We topped the day with fillets, crab legs, au gratin potatoes, green beans, salad and chocolate ice cream cake to help my Dad chalk up another year gone by.
